Event Opportunities: The Kids Wildlife Conservation Day is a learning event that aims to make the participants aware of the need to preserve natural resources in Texas. The event will include different kinds of activities such as wildlife education, fishing, archery, and much more, which would help educate people about their native wildlife. Professionals such as biologists, game wardens, conservationists, volunteers, and many more participate in the event and help teach other people about taking care of the outdoors.

Event Opportunities: Texas Brigades youth leaders Ethan and Hadley Hemphill invite you to Hemphill Ranch in Coleman, TX, where they will show range and grassland management practices utilized on their ranch. Otherwild will feature 10 Enchanted Trees throughout the San Antonio Botanical Garden’s 39 acres and a soaring SkyNet installation, Flora Borealis, above the Lucile Halsell Conservatory. This immersive exhibition celebrates color, connection, and the joy of shared experiences. Families are invited to enjoy concessions, live music, and educational activities. Texas Brigades will have a booth at this event.

Houston Fishing Show

Event Opportunities: This will be the 51st Houston Fishing Show! Fishing's Future and Coastal Brigade are teaming up with other volunteers during the Kids Casting event. At the event, there will be two different opportunities for helping out at the show. Cadets can do both, these opportunities are listed below:

Coastal Brigade will have a booth at this event, and the Committee will be welcoming Cadets to man the booth with their posters.

They will need instructors, gift table helpers, entrance and exit helpers, and more during the Kids Casting Event portion of this expo show.

Event Opportunities: There will be a Coastal Brigade table at the TPWD Coastal Fisheries Division Meeting to spread the word about Texas Brigades to the TPWD staff to encourage more involvement throughout the division. This is an exciting opportunity for cadets to showcase their posters/trifolds to TPWD staff!

Forest Fest
Location: Jesse H. Jones Park in Humble, TX
Date & Time: Saturday, November 8, 9:00am - 2:00pm
Event Opportunities: Nature lovers of all ages are invited to Jones Park for a day of discovery, celebrating one of our most important natural resources - trees! Come learn about the importance of our forests and how you can help conserve such a vital, but endangered, ecosystem at our inaugural Forest Fest. Visitors can enjoy hikes, wildlife presentations, and educational exhibits. Native plants and concession sales will be available from Jesse Jones Park Volunteers. Great for families of all ages, school groups, and Scouts.
A.3 Manned Poster Display — Restrictions: points awarded per day, minimum of one hour.
A.5 Assist with a Conservation Organization’s Event — Points awarded for assisting with the instruction of the hands-on activity at the event.

Buck Fever
Location: Seguin Events Complex in Seguin, TX
Date & Time: Wednesday, October 22 — Thursday, October 23
Wednesday: 5:30pm-9:00pm
Thursday: 5:30pm-10:00pm
Event Opportunities: Buck Fever Event is a 2 day event held on a Wednesday & Thursday evening each October. The Event is Family Friendly and offers the Buck Fever Horns Contest & Exhibit, Vendors, Games & Raffles, Food Trucks, Shopping, and Games & Activities for all to enjoy

A.6 Coordinate cadets at an event - Requirements: You must be present for the entire event you are organizing and communicate with the Texas Brigades office prior to and after the event. Only ONE person per event may claim this activity.

To coordinate this event, we ask the following:
Coordinate in a provided spreadsheet which graduates are attending during which time slots
Communicate arrival details and instructions with participants (as they become available from TB)
Be willing to be at the event at least 95% of the time to assist with time slot turnover
Coordinate booth set-up and tear-down with Texas Brigades staff -- IMPORTANT!
