Exploring Baffin Bay
Participants had the opportunity to learn about and experience Baffin Bay, one of the most isolated estuaries in the Gulf! Baffin Bay’s salty waters have traditionally supported world-class fishing and habitat that is vital for fish, birds, and other wildlife.
Activities included boating, fishing, water quality testing, fish identification, bird identification, watershed systems, and more!

Texas Game Warden Experience
Participants had the opportunity to hear and learn from Texas Game Wardens about their day-to-day lives and gain valuable, hands-on experience relating to a career as a Texas Game Warden.
Activities included fly fishing skills and regulations, on-duty scenarios, range skills and safety, active shooter simulations, and more.

Explore SPI
Participants started off the morning learning about mollusks! Then learned the importance of pollinators, participated in birding techniques and identification, discussed tagging and data collection, and learned about and of ways to mitigate water pollutants.

Diving Into Urban Waters
Participants and their families learned all about urban watersheds! Water quality, fish and plant identification, and stream hydrology were hot topics.

Step Up to Clean Up
Participants stepped up to learn about significant beach and shoreline pollutants, including vape trash, cigarette butts, nurdles, and other marine garbage. Finishing the event with a beach clean up, collecting more than 50 lbs of trash and other pollutants.

Explore the Outdoors
Participants gathered together to explore the outdoors! Engaging in hands-on activities ranging from electro-fishing to bobwhite quail, and deer habitat to pollinators!
