Buckskin Brigade

Whether you are an experienced deer hunter or just discovering your passion for the outdoors, this camp will provide you with the unique opportunity to learn all things white-tailed deer in a hands-on, immersive setting. Our instructors are experienced professionals in the wildlife and conservation fields and will help you to expand your horizons and discover new passions. Both North and South Texas Buckskin Brigade camps offer participants an in-depth view of Texas’ white-tailed deer. The respective committees select students from a pool of applicants who will participate in the five-day, intensive camp to develop an in-depth understanding of white-tailed deer ecology. Along with the development of leadership, public speaking, and teamwork skills, Buckskin Brigade will expose participants to subjects such as deer anatomy and biology, habitat and nutrition requirements, rattling, scoring, and survey methods. Additionally, participants will be given training in both firearm safety and rifle and archery basics. The Texas Brigades model of leadership development, education, and empowerment continue with our Buckskin Brigade programs. Come join us!
