Description: Troutfest Texas is comprised of a banquet, a film night, and a free 2-day expo. The expo is located right on the Guadalupe River and features various presentations, kids events, instruction, raffles, vendors, and more. This event is coordinated and put on by Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited, a 501(c)3 organization.
Expected Audience: 3,000+
Texas Brigades Involvement: There are TWO ways cadets and graduates of any Texas Brigades camp can be involved:
(1) You may assist Texas Brigades at its exhibitor booth on Saturday and Sunday. You may click here to sign up for a slot at the booth. Texas Brigades will follow-up with an email confirming your status.
and/or
(2) You may volunteer to specifically assist with the Kids Fish Tank. Michael Scherer, with Fishing’s Future and a Texas Brigades Volunteer, will be present at this event and is willing to answer to any questions you may have. BOA Opportunities Available:
- A.3: Manned poster display. Bring your poster and other camp materials (if any) that are relevant and help you tell your Brigade story to others.
- A.4: Unmanned poster display. Poster must be displayed both days for credit to be received (bring your poster and foam board for set-up)
- A.5: Assist with a natural resource, wildlife, or conservation organization’s event: points awarded per day of assistance.
