Description: Joining others in the Houston-area outdoors! The Outdoor Afro is a community group of intercity people who may or may not have ever spent any time in the outdoors or fishing. This event is an opportunity for families to get outdoors and learn to fish!
Reach out to Jerrel, Environmental Education Coordinator at the Kickerillo-Mischer Preserveare, if you are interested in participating and/or helping.
There will be stations set-up such as fishing knots, casting, equipment, etc. However there will not be an actual fishing portion, as that would place people in greater proximity to each other, than the station scenario would.
Expected Audience: Houston-area families
Texas Brigades Involvement: Texas Brigades supporters are sharing this information for all cadets who may be interested in participating and/or volunteering. This Family Fishing Camp program is also brought together by other Texas Brigades partners and supporters like TPWD and Fishing’s Future.
