“DOVE 101” will be hosted in conjunction with the Texas Dove Hunters Association (TDHA) and the Texas Youth Hunting Program(TYHP).

Participants (ages 9-17) will rotate through dove-related curriculum stations, including hands-on anatomy demonstrations such as “Getting to Know Your Dove” and “Field Dressing Techniques.” We will also cover firearm and field safety lessons, bird identification methods, hunting ethics, dove habitat, and more! The day will end with an evening dove hunt* as well as a cookout! Space is limited.

*You must bring your hunting license and proof of your hunter safety certification to participate in the evening dove hunt.*

  • Registration fee: $50 (includes one child & one parent/guardian; $25 per person for additional sibling or parent/guardian)
