DOVE 101 to Take Flight in Runnels County

WINTERS, TX — Texas Brigades’ next scheduled Experience, “DOVE 101” will be hosted in conjunction with the Texas Dove Hunters Association (TDHA) and the Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP). The event will be hosted on Saturday, January 12, 2019 (9:00 am to 8:00pm) at 24 Outfitters, LLC. near Winters, TX.

Participants (ages 9-17) will rotate through dove-related curriculum stations, including hands-on anatomy demonstrations such as “Getting to Know Your Dove” and “Field Dressing Techniques”, as well as firearm and field safety lessons, bird identification methods, hunting ethics, dove habitat, and more! The day will end with a clays shoot and evening dove hunt* as well as a cookout! Space is limited; registration required.

Registration ($50 for one child/parent duo; + $25 per extra sibling or parent) includes:

  • DOVE 101 course materials & booklet
  • Classroom and outdoor/field time
  • Lunch & Supper
  • Texas Brigades bag, water bottle, TDHA cap, and more!
  • Dove Hunt (youth only with required license and certification)
