2022 Dallas Safari Club Convention: 40 Years of DSC @ Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center (Dallas, TX)

Description: DSC is a mission-focused conservation organization, funded by hunters from around the world. With an administrative staff of less than 15 and a volunteer army of 500, DSC hosts the Greatest Hunters Convention on the Planet™ that raises funds for grants in conservation, outdoor education and hunter advocacy. In the past five years, more than $5 million has been channeled to qualified projects, organizations, and programs in support of that mission.

Expected Audience: 1,000+

Texas Brigades Involvement: Texas Brigades will have a booth set up at this event (Booth #932). Texas Brigades Staff and volunteers will be on-site to direct cadets. Please use the form embedded below to sign up for this event!

BOA Opportunities Available:

    • A.3: Manned trifold/poster display. Restrictions: points awarded per day, minimum of one hour. If you set up your trifold/poster while making a presentation, you will NOT receive credit for the manned display, only the educational presentation.

    OR

    • A.4: Unmanned trifold/poster display. Restrictions: trifold/poster must be displayed for a minimum of 3 days consecutive days at a single location, or for the duration of an event.

    The Ducks Unlimited Expo (DUX) @ Texas Motor Speedway
    Apr 8 – Apr 10 all-day

    Description: The Ducks Unlimited Expo is brought to you by DU and hosted at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. This expo is free to cadets and volunteers who are able to help at the Texas Brigades booth. Attendees pay an entrance fee. This is a great opportunity to reach the public who are behind conservation, hunting, and stewardship; yes, mostly concerning waterfowl and their habitats but great for all young conservationist!

    Expected Audience: Over 5,000

    Texas Brigades Involvement: Texas Brigades will have a booth set up, where Waterfowl Brigade Volunteers and cadets from any camp can attend and spread their conservation knowledge. Please email us at camps@texasbrigades.org by June 21st to sign up!

    BOA Opportunities Available:

    This event is outside of the typical BOA window (June – March 15th). If you wish for the Waterfowl Brigade Committee to count this event in your BOA, you must: (1) include the activity sheet in your final BOA submission (due 3/15/22), and (2) provide a follow-up activity sheet/report/pictures no later than 4/15/22.

      • A.3: Manned poster display. Restrictions: points awarded per day, minimum of one hour.

        • Use your newfound knowledge and confidence from camp to talk to others about conservation and habitat management and stewardship.

        • Network with Texas Brigades Volunteers and other cadets, as well as new conservation professionals, building your conservation & professional network.
