The Feathered Forces

The bobwhite quail and the wild turkey are two of Texas' most favored species of wildlife. Whether you are a quail or turkey hunter, photographer, or just love to hear the familiar "bob-white" whistle or the enchanting gobble of a strutting tom, you no doubt savor your opportunities afield with these captivating birds in Texas' great outdoor classroom.

If you enjoy studying wildlife in general, and quail and turkeys in particular, have we got an opportunity for you! Each year, we offer an innovative outdoor classroom experience called the Feathered Forces.

When and Where are the camps held?

Unfortunately, there will not be an East Texas Feathered Forces camp in 2010.  We encourage former cadets to continue presenting educational programs and submit a Book of Accomplishments.  College scholarships from East Texas Feathered Forces are still available and if space and scheduling permits, those that submit a book may be able to assist at other camps.
